Supply Chain | ISO 28000

Supply chain management involves various logistical activities of companies, with the aim of controlling performance and improving efficiency.

These activities include the systematic cataloguing of products and the strategic coordination of the various members of the distribution chain.

Supply chain security management is linked to many other aspects of business management. These aspects include all activities controlled or influenced by organizations that impact on safety management, such as moving products through the supply chain.

Security Supply Chain - ISO 28000

The ISO 28000:2007 standard was developed to respond to the request for a reference standard for security management specific to the supply chain.

It applies to organizations of all sizes, from SMEs to multinationals, manufacturing, service, warehousing or transport at whatever level of production or supply chain they intend:

  • Establish, implement, maintain and improve a safety management system;
  • Ensure compliance with an established safety management policy;
  • Demonstrate this compliance to others;
  • Looking for certification/registration of this management system from an accredited third part body;
  • To carry out a self-determination and a self-declaration of conformity with the ISO 28000:2007 standard.

Through certification by an independent third-party body, the company provides credibility of its commitments to its customers and stakeholders.
