MTIC InterCert S.r.l. and Korea Total Healthcare Ecosystem Association (KoTHEA) Sign Memorandum of Understanding

MTIC InterCert S.r.l., designated Notified Body (CE 0068) under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on Medical Devices, and the Korea Total Healthcare Ecosystem Association (KoTHEA), headquartered in Seoul, Republic of Korea, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 18, 2026, at MTIC InterCert's headquarters in Rho (Milan), Italy.

The MoU was signed by Dipl.-Ing. Feridoon Sergizzarea, President & CEO of MTIC Group, and Ms. Hee-Kyoung Jung, Secretary General of KoTHEA.

The MoU establishes a framework for mutual cooperation between the two organisations, based on the principles of trust and complementarity, with the following areas of cooperation:

  • Mutual sharing and dissemination of information on European medical device regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Organisation of forums, technical seminars and joint conferences to strengthen capabilities in the medical device industry
  • Promoting exchanges to advance the medical device industry in testing and certification
  • Exploring further opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest

The agreement, valid for three years with the option of renewal, reflects both organisations' commitment to supporting the development of the medical device industry and facilitating access to the European market for Korean manufacturers.
